Sugar flower, black velvet

The manatee utters, 

A regretful "eep" .

Funny clowns, 

Bunch of balloons
What they really want, 

Is to go to sleep.

Impenetrable misty-rose
The bubbles pop 

And they are sad

So, they'll stand there

Striking a pose,

To say it's really

Not all that bad. 

Sugar flower, black velvet

Of barks and 

Stems that water.

Things are not always 

As they appear,

Must keep young minds 

Out of the gutter.

Nutty pink,
The jelly glistens 

Like fresh milked cream  

To lick, with fingers

That do not sink 

Too deep, 

To taste, 

Perchance the dream.
